Dr. Nick Avallone, a physician with St. Luke's Orthopedic Care, treats a wide variety of orthopedic disorders.  He has sub-specialty training in sports medicine related injuries and is Dual Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.  During his residency and fellowship he assisted in the care of numerous professional teams and athletes including the New York Jets, New York Islanders, New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and tennis players at the US Open.  In his current role, he is the team physician for Phillipsburg High School, Delaware Valley Regional High School, Warren Hills High School, Belvidere High School, and Warren County Technical School.

Dr. Avallone utilizes advanced techniques in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery to reduce pain and accelerate recovery time with outstanding surgical results.  He expertly performs arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, including rotator cuff repairs and ACL reconstructions, as well as hand, wrist, elbow, and ankle ligament repairs.  Dr. Avallone is one of the only surgeons in the area that performs the reverse total shoulder replacement and the minimally invasive all-inside ACL reconstruction technique.


In 2019, Dr. Avallone was selected as the Sports Medicine Provider of the Year at the St. Luke's All Star Awards Program.  He was named the 2016 Physician of the Year for the St. Luke's Warren Campus and has been recognized as a "Top Doc" for orthopedic surgery by Inside Jersey and Jersey's Best magazines five years in a row.
